LiveCorp is the not-for-profit industry research and marketing body for livestock exporters. It delivers a range of services that support the sustainability and competitiveness of the Australian livestock export industry, including research, data and innovation, animal welfare, market access, training and communications. LiveCorp works with a range of stakeholders and industry bodies in the supply chain including Meat & Livestock Australia, Cattle Australia, and the Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association.
The Position
This is a critical role in driving stakeholder engagement, coordination, communication and administration activities that advance the strategic objectives and plans of the livestock export industry.
As the Stakeholder and Communications Coordinator,
you will work closely with industry stakeholders, supporting key communication activities to ensure all parties are informed, plus coordinating the delivery of key livestock export strategies.
The role includes secretarial support for cross-industry committees, including attending and taking minutes. Listening to and working with the sector, you will also develop and share resources such as stakeholder updates, talking points, infographics, social media content and presentations, and provide support with industry newsletters, board papers, and website content.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a supportive role within the sector, be proactive and become an integral part of the team, engaging directly with a range of stakeholders.
The Person
To be successful in this role you will:
- have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as agriculture, science or communications
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role e.g. stakeholder liaison, engagement, project coordination
- be involved in agriculture or at least have genuine passion for agriculture (ideally livestock)
- have skills to craft and format communications materials in all formats
- have a positive, can-do attitude
- be a collaborative team player with excellent time management skills to handle competing priorities with ease
