Our client is a leading vertically integrated agricultural manufacturing business, with their head office in Melbourne and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities on the east coast of Australia, who source domestically grown produce to create world class commodities. There is now an exciting opportunity to join their human resources team at their head office in Melbourne as the Human Resources (HR) Generalist in a part time capacity.
The Position
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and working in a close-knit business support team, you will assist with running the day-to-day on-site human resources function for the organisation. As a key part of the HR team, the Human Resources Generalist will provide human resources operations and business support, across the organisation’s locations. This will include supporting areas such as:
- Payroll and benefits
- Recruitment (permanent and seasonal)
- Labor relations / agreements
- Employee welfare
- Work Site Health and SHE functions
- Training and compliance
The Person
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role such as, HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
- Strong understanding of Australian Fair Work principles and workplace legislation
- Human resources business support experience
- Experience with award rates and Australian payroll
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes
- Strong communication skills and experience working with HRIS systems
You will be joining a leading agribusiness, and whilst not mandatory, experience with any type of agribusiness or the agricultural sector will allow you to quickly succeed in this role and appreciate the great position this business has in the Australian agricultural sector.
This is a part time role with a flexible work arrangement which can be negotiated with the successful candidate, with a preference with the option for both flexibility in days or specific hours during the week.
