CHS Broadbent is a leading Australian agribusiness supply chain company with grain marketing, storage, logistics and export operations on the east coast of Australia. CHS Broadbent own and operate grain storage, container packing, and grain freight operations through Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. They are widely recognised by grain producers and markets as leaders in providing reliable, dependable, customer focused service.
The Position
As part of their ongoing growth, and due to an internal promotion, CHS Broadbent are looking for their next Grain Merchant to join their Victorian team. This role will be based in their Ballarat head office, and work closely with the broader Origination, Trading and Operations team.
You will predominately focus on connecting with growers across a geographic region that supports delivery to their Lakaput and Lake Bolac facilities. You will work closely with the broader commercial team to align with the business goals, and you will focus on continuing to increase the business brand and market share wherever possible.
The Person
To be successful in this position you will:
- A strong affinity the grains industry and understanding of Victorian grain growing regions.
- Experience working within a grains related role would be beneficial, however we are open to speaking to candidates looking to transition into this type of role from an allied agribusiness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Enjoy working as part of a close-knit team but capable working autonomously whilst travelling within your territory.
