    The Role
    The CSD Extension team work closely with all stakeholders providing excellent customer service to promote and market CSD cotton varieties, management practices and cotton research information to the Australian cotton industry, whilst developing high quality relationships.

    There is now a vacancy for an Extension Agronomist to be based in or around St George, QLD to cover the Southern Queensland cotton region.

    Responsibilities associated with this role include:
    • Providing cotton variety and agronomy extension advice and knowledge on the whole of crop.
    • Forming relationships across the cotton growing valleys.
    • Providing a personal touch by taking the latest research, technology, and information to growers to use on their properties
    • Assist in facilitating adaptation and the adoption of research
    • Carrying out numerous trials.
    • Running field activities, field days, and attending industry meetings.
    • Data collection.
    • Agent crop forecasting
    The Person
    To be successful in the role you will ideally have:
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable communicating with people
    • Experience with cotton.
    • An understanding of agronomy and cotton production principles.
    • At least 3 years sales or agronomy experience.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft tools and familiarity with CRM software.
    To enable you to be fully effective in the role you will be provided with a fully maintained company vehicle (which includes some personal use), phone, computer, and iPad. The role is home office based with limited overnight stays.
