The Company
Agsafe operates leading product stewardship programs in the agricultural industry, focusing on the safe handling, storage, transport, and disposal of agricultural chemicals. These programs also encompass the collection, recycling, and responsible disposal of single use agricultural bags and containers.
Established in 1993, Agsafe is as an industry-led non-profit subsidiary of CropLife Australia dedicated to developing and delivering life cycle stewardship initiatives for the plant science industries while supporting CropLife Australia’s stewardship programs and policies.
The Position
Reporting to the General Manager, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for executing Agsafe’s strategic objectives through exceptional operational management, driving key strategic projects, and advancing business development initiatives.
The role will work closely with and directly support the General Manager in strengthening the organisation’s strategic positioning, while ensuring the effective delivery of outcomes for drumMUSTER, bagMUSTER, and Member Services.
The COO will manage team leaders across bagMUSTER, drumMUSTER and Member Services, foster collaboration across all divisions, lead stakeholder engagement efforts, and focus on key account management to enhance program impact and drive growth.

- Team Leadership and Development
- Financial Oversight
The Person
We are keen to hear from you if you have the following background, skills and key attributes:
- Proven senior leadership experience with a track record of driving operational excellence and delivering strategic projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in business development and key account management.
- Strong strategic planning capabilities, with an ability to translate high-level objectives into actionable plans.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, contract negotiation and cost optimisation.
- Strong leadership abilities, including team development and change management.
- Self-starter and driven with the ability to execute on projects.
